The steamship Moravian, from Liverpool on
the 19th, arrived at Farther Point on Monday.
The following is a eummary of her mails:
The steamship Moravian, from Liverpool on the
18th, via Londonderry on the 19th, arrived off
Farther Point yesterday morning, en route to
Quebec.
Her telegraphic news report embraces details of
our cable dispatches to her day of sailing.
Mr. John Bright had been entertained at break?
fast at Glasgow by the promoters of the Reform
demonstration. He made a speech, in which he
briefly referred to his approaching visit-to Ireland.
He said the moro fully the people were admitted
to a fair share of parliamentary power the more
completely would Justice be done to Ireland. All
the London journals publish leaders on Mr. Bright's
great speech of the 16th of October, of which the
main points were published in the Herald of yes?

The steamship City of Paris, from New York,
reachod Queenstown on tho evening of tho 17th of

Prussia.

S'ves an account or the recent annexation of Frank
rt, Weisbaden and Cassel to tho Prussian mon?

took place in the principal square, in the midst of -a
large and enthusiastic multitado. The guides
?mraded with their flags, the choral societies per

ladies and ohildren in joyous excitement. Tb show

The New York Journal of Commerce is persuad?

JOH? BBIQHT, the chiof reform leader, said in a
speech a few days ago, that. "however much we
may wish political questions, toTto settled by moral
means, yet it is no moro immoral, for a people to
nae force in tho last resort for the obtaining and
securing of freedom than it is for a Government,
by force, to oppress and deny that froe?om. The
Journal of Commerce thinks
_ "Language of this oharaoter cannot bo regarded
m any other light than as a monaco, and when wo
cali to mind the scenes in Hydo Park, followed by
demonstrations thiB autumn that havo had no
parallel in England for the past thirty years, it is
easy to perceive that tho oriBis now impending is

(reform organ) says 'no Government can koop its
legs for a month which attompts to pallor with tho
subject.' Without assuming to know what may bo
the intention of the present ministry, tho London
Times pleads the forbeamnco of tho public. Tho
moasure proposed by tho lato Government was
wholly inadequate, and mot with an overwhelming
defeat. Something far moro liberal is dom anded
by the popular voice. In somo way tho number of
parliamentary electors must be increased if tho
English Government would eilenco tho clamor that
daily becomes more boisterous, determined and
exacting."
JOHN MOBBIHBBY MAKES A SPEECH.-The rep?

branches of tho Fifth Congressional Distriot of
New York, who nominated John Morrissey for
member of Congross, met last Saturday evening to

reply to the spocch of the chairman, tendering him
the nominations, Mr. Morrissey said :
