When we went to press last Wed nesday, the case of Flemming agains Brock, suit for damages, was beinj tried. 11 consumed the entire day, am on Thursday morning the jury render eda verdict, for ?300, in favor of the plaintiff. This being the last jury cast thc jury was discharged. A few cases were heard on the equity side of thc Court Thursday and Friday and orders taken, and on Friday afternoon Couti adjourned. The "London Gaiety G irls:' gave j good performance Friday night, and il was well patronized by the mail mem bers of society. There were no ladies; in the audience. Watson died suddenly at his home at Clemson College last Sat urday aircrnoon. He was chief mar shal at Clemson. His remains were carried to Greenville and interred on Sunday. The Creen ville Raes, in speaking of thc deceased, says : "Mr. Watson was the body guard for Presi dent Jefferson Davis at rite Confederan; Executive Mansion at Richmond, was serving on that duty at the time Miss Winnie Davis was born and was re garded as part of the President's fami ly.
