There is more joy ou earth to day than ever be fore, bocauso there is moro knowledge of wbat we need in order to grow "healthy, wealthy and wise." Tho world is clean er, life is securer, locomotion cheaper and more rapid, and food moro abundant. For these reasons eujoyment ls more gen eral, and for the same reasons this sum mer vacation should be filled with genu ine recreation and pleasure. If teachers are not re-created for a new year, lt will bo their own fault.
