Saturday morn ing, however, dawned bright and clear, and the yoong folks and old folks were stirring around early getting ready for the plonlc. The majority of the crowd gath ered at the Methodist Church, from whero they wero transported to the Brook. We ?rrlvod on the grounds about ll o'clock, and found the bright and happy faces of tho littlo ones aglow with sweet ?miles, mukiug the woods resound with their gay shouts, and enjoying themselves as chlldron do on such occasions. Tho courting couples wore there, also, enjoy ing themselves in promenades, tctea-letes, &Q. At Intervals during the day the Young America Cornet Band render ed Kino excellent music, which was greatly enjoyed by all present. Nothing happened to mar the ploasurosof thoday, with the exception, perhaps, of a fow bites from ' tho festivo red hug, which every ono who attends a picnic must ex pect.
