The Polls will be opened at 6 o'clock in the forenoon and closed at 6 o'clock in the after? noon of the clay of election, and shall be kept open during these hours without intermission; and the Managers shall administer to each per? son offering to vote, an oath that he isqualilied to vote at tins election, according to the Consti? tution and laws of this State, and that he has not voted during this election. Immediatel}' after the closing of tho polls, the Managers shall proceed publicly to open the ballot box and count the ballots therein, and continue such count, without adjournment or interruption, until tho samo is completed, and make such statement of the result thereof, and sign the same, as tho nature of the election shall require. Within three days thereafter, tho Chairman of the Board of Managers, or ono of them, to be designated in writing by tho Board, shall deliver to the Commissioners of Election the poll list, the boxes containing the ballots, and a written statement of the result of the election in his precinct. Tho Peace Officers aro required to be present at tho polls until tho election is completed, pro sorve tho peace and the independence of the ballot, and see that no liquor is sold at or near the election precinct. All Bar Rooms, and other places for the sale of liquors by retail, shall be closed at six o'clock on tho evening preceding tho day of election, and remain closed until six o'clock in the morning of tho next day thereafter, and during the time aforesaid tho salo of all intox? icating liquors is prohibited.
