Truth and Poetry. Milton puts into the month of Lucifer, in "Paradise Lost," these memorable words?"to be weak is miserable.'' Never was a truer sen? tence written than this?supposed to be wrung from the Arch-fiend in his impotence and ago? ny. Every Tictim of nervous debility, cr of that depressing languor which is one of tha ac? companiments of dyspepsia and biliousness, can testify to the misery of mind and tody ?which they involve. The motive power of the system is partially paralyzed; the mind is haunted by anxiety and fear; and the suf? ferer is as incapable of applying himself en? ergetically to any kind of business as if heuere under the benumbing influence of catalepsy. -This terrible mental and physical condition need not, however, be endured for forty?* ight hours by any human being. Plantation B i tters is an absolute specific for all the torments w hich a deranged stomach, a disordered liver, and shattered nerves, superinduce. The worst Coughs yield, as if by magic, to the wonderinl curative powers of Dr.Tierce's Golden Medical Discovery. Fathers and Hothers? If you occupy these relations now. o r are about to do so, study well your constitution. If yon have aoqidred or inherited Scrofula, or any disease whic a may . be transmitted to your offspring, it is your solemn doty to eradici te it. Thousands of children are now suffering from the effects of poiuonous disease transmitted to them from their oarents. The thought is terri? ble. Toucan save yourselves much sadness and solicitude, and your dear little ones ranch pain and an happ iness by the timely use oef Dr. Tutt's Sarsaparilla and Queen's Delight. It will surely eradicate.the taint from your system, or i if It has already been entailed upon your child ; give it at onee tills valuable preparation, and' ' its system will be renovated and restored to J soundness. ' ? Montgomery Co., N; C, Sept 11,11189. Da. Wx. H. Terr?Sir: Please accept the heartfelt thanks of a mother who was well nigh [ ^ driven to despair by the sad condition of an only child. My little boy has been afflicted with Scrofula ever since his birth, and after J trying-every remedy that was recommended, and several physicians had pronounced him past all hope, I accidentally heard of your Sar? saparilla and Queen's Delight. It was so Itigh Jy recommended that I concluded to try it, out I must confess with, very little faith. Ha has ' it .ken nine of the bottles yon sent me, and I am happy in being able to say that he is almost well; and I believe by the time he takes the doaea he will be perfectly restored to htalth.
