The boatmen and 'longshoremen are in an agony of excitement over the discovery of what they suppose to be a portion of the pirate Kidd's | buried treasure, in the vicinity of Elizabethport, N. J. Forty or fifty thousand dollars have been secured already, and the bottom of the neigh? boring waters *are being scoured by dredges.? There is no slurring over I the work, but every part being placed together With such exactness and simplicity, that after having worked upon and repaired most of the styles of Sewing Machines that have been in the Southern market for several years past, I must say there is more skill and ingenuity dis? played in the construction of this Machine than any I have ever examined. It not only makes the much admired lock-stitch, and all the varieties of work done on any Machine, but it has permanently fixed to it a Buttonhole and Overseaming combination which I havo never seen on any other Machine. The use of your Machine, with its various attachments, is easily acquired by a little patience and atten? tion. I am well satisfied that your Machine is not only the cheapest, but is superior to any Machine now in the Southern market, and es? pecially in its motion?being the cam motion of a superior order.
