STOLEN, from the subscriber on the night of the 3rd day of February, I860, a Sorrel Stallion COLT, three years old in April, of slender pro? portions, round bodied, with two white hind feet, and narrow blaze in his forehead. Both sides of the ilerse are marked with' traces, two marks on each side. The above Reward will be paid for the recovery of the Horse, and any information regarding him will be'thankfully reoeived. On the same night the horse was taken, a negro man left the neighborhood, and it is supposed that he committed the theft. Said negro is about five feet five or six inches high, weighs about 160 pounds, said to be twenty-five years old, and is of a dark color. When last seen, he had on on old broadcloth suit, and a common scarf. Ha calls himself Sam Johnson, and said he was raised in 1 Laurens District, but I am informed that his right name is Perry Gore, though sometimes he is called Epb. Gore. THE undersigned offers to the planters of this and adjoining counties an IMPRO VED COTTON PLANTER, of his own invention, which has been used by him for the past two years with complete success. There are two kinds of this Planter ; one for planting the seed alone, by which a single hand can open the furrows, drop the seed, and cover at the same time, at the rate of five acres per day. The same amount of work can be ac? complished with the other, and in addition te open? ing the furrows, dropping the seed and covering, a separate.partition enables you to put in fertili? zers in any desired quantity to tho acre. It will plant either cotton, corn or peas, and give any distance that may be desirable, which is a great advantage over all other inventions of this kind.
