Henderson, was unanimously adopted: Hcsolvcd, That the thanks of this commission are due ami are hereby presented to those citizens of tlie town of Aiken who, bj' their own industry and means, have improved the parks adjacent to their lots, and that any citizen who will undertake such work, under the supervision of the commis sion, be allowed and eicouraged to do so. We understand that Dr. H. W. Raveuel, Messrs. Robert Powell, W. M. Hutson, 8. Ott and Henry Smith have agreed to improve tlie parks ad jacent to their residences. The Im provement Commission is anxious that others of our citizens should do likewise, and will aid them in any way they can. Services at the Catholic Church. On Sunday morning high mass was celebrated at the Catholic Church by tlie Rev. Father J. J Dohcny, con cluding with pontifical benediction by the Rt. Rev. Bishop H. I'. Nortb- top. The Bishop also preached tlie ser mon, the subject being appropriate to the Lenten seaso:i. Tlie music was very fine, and was conducted by Prof. Wiegand, who presided at the organ, assisted by the following members of the choir of St. Patrick’s Church, Augusta: Miss Hansherger, suprano; Miss Mamie Dorr, alto; Miss Edelblut, alto; Mr. A. P. Boyle, tenor; Mr. A. 8. Graham haratone. In tlie afternoon the con gregation assembled again for vespers with “benediction of tlie blessed sac rament.” at 8 o'clock 0, i tlie evening of the 12th to her cousin, Mr. George Kustis, in Washington, D. <’., grandson of W. W. Corcoran. The ceremony was per formed by Dr. W. A. Leonard, of SU John’s. The wedding was very quiet, no one being present but tlie imme diate families of tlie bride and groom. The young couple left that night for Aiken, 8. C., where Miss Eustis and Mis* I ula Eustis, the sister and aunt of tlie groom, are spending the winter. Mr. Eustis and his bride are now in Aiken and will occupy the Braltmrd cottage on West Boundary street. Eliwan Phosphate Company.
