WILLIAMS, Manage The 1904 Record Of the Best Company. Following la from the Anderson Daily Mall of last Sunday and should be especially gratifying to Mutual Benefit policy holders in York county: "The South Carolina business of the Mutual Benefit Life Insurance company, of which Mr. M. M. Mattison of this city Is the State agent, has increased to a wonderful extent during 1904. The gross receipts of the company In the State during the year are more than $219,000, an Increase of (30,000 over the year before. The total amount of Insurance In force In the State is now more than $6,000,000. The amount of new business written luring 1904 was $1,727,500. This Is a ivonderful record when it is rememDered that the Mutual Benefit does not write business In certain counties of :he State, that it employs fewer agents :han other companies, and that It Is krery rigid In the class of risks It lakes." The actual Increase In new business for 1904 over 1903 was $397,750, and in Fork county there was an Increase of 100 per cent over the previous year, ind today the premium receipts of the company In the county are larger, according to county treasurer's books, than any other company, save one, ind the leader has been doing busliess In the county 30 years while the Mutual Benefit has been here less than 10 years. 8AM M.
