IT has been remarked by almost every one who has visited the Mammoth within the past month, that her capacious shelves were almost empty, her broad counters nearly bare, and that there was a scarcity of goods throughout that they could not understand. To them we will say that these shelves and counters have been laden with every novelty in the Dry Goods line, and as they saw them empty, we need not assure them that these goods are all new ,and they will find no old stock, but a fresh and well selected line to purchase from. As to the cheapness of the goods and the advantages to be obtained at the Mammoth, we will let the past answer, and only say, "As it has been, so it is now and ever will be." The season is fast approaching when the suit that has stood the sun and dust of the summer tinfaded and unworn, that has been admired so much for its fit and style, and above all has borne Hunter & Oates' name on the hanger, must be dotted in favor of another of heavier fabric, one from the Mammoth that will stand the storms ol winter equally as well as the other has done the summer sun. Yes, we say "Freshen up," and the Mammoth is the place where you can obtain everything necessary to do so. We have an elegant* line of Gents' Clothing of the latest styles and best fits and makes on the market.
