Aug 1G 33 3m $500 REWARD!! RUNAWAY from the subscribers, six miles north-east of Laurens, C. H., on Sunday night, the 29th of July last, two negro men named JIM A\D ROBERT. JIM, about 21 or 22 years old, is of a dark mu latto oolor, weighs about 155 pounds, is 5 feet 6 or 7 inches high, quick spoken and very intelligent.. no particular marks remembered, he was raised in Isle of Wight County, Virginia, and was sold by Wiley G. Bagnale, in Richmond, Virginia, where the subscriber, James O. Hunter, bought him about the first of June last. ROBERT is about the same age and height as Jim, though not quite so heavy ; is of a dark brown or copper color, and rather slow spoken, though very intelligent. No particular marks are remembered about the person of either of them. He was raised in Botetourt County, Virginia, and sold by Geo. W. Johnson, in Richmond, about the same time that the other boy was. They were brought by the railroad by the way of Charlotte, N: C.. aud Columbia, S. C., in company with sixteen or eigmeeu ouier negroes, uy names \j Hunter, to Laurens District, S. C. It is supposed they are attempting to get back to Virginia, either along the line of the railroads, or by a more direct course across the country. We will pay the sum of TWENTY-FIVE DOLLARS each, for the safe delivery in Jail, of the above described negroes so that we can get them. And FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS for the conviction of any white person for aid ing and assisting them in running away, or of harboring them while run away.
