BALTIionE, November 23.-In tho session of the Synod of Virginia to day, a report was submitted on Sun day schools. Rev. Dr. B. Smith, of the Union Theological Sominary, Chairman of the Committee on Secu lar Education, appointed at the last meeting of the Synod, subnitted an elaborate report on the subject, ac cenipanied with resolutiois to the (fect that it is the duty of the church to found and control educational in stiitutions of all grades, wherever such action is required for the full dis charge of its spiritual functions. Pending the consideration of the repoit and resolutions, a rceos was taken.
