The universal success attending the growing of wheat in tha South during the past season Is evidence enough that, it can be done again. Wheat caa be grown beat on clay loams or sandy clay loams. The soil should be broken as aarly as possible and harrowed - - • Varieties that have done well in a community are moat like'y tha best te sow. Tha seed should be treated for smut before planting. The formaldehyde treatment ia preferable. Seeding 1n October better than November la the South. A good, vigorous growth- is desired before winter sets in.
