Circuit Judge, 1 will sell before the Court House
door, in the town of Union, withiu the legal
hours of sale, on the first Monday in June, 1883,
the following described property, to wit:
All that certrin tract of land situated iu
Santuc Township, Uuiou County, Slate, afore
said, containing twp hundred and nine and one
thirds acres, mote or less, bounded by Green
l'ond lload. and adjoining the Homestead and
Dower of Clara F. Jeter, and lands of Mrs Eunice
Flcmming and T. J. Jones.
The remainder in the tract of land allotted as
Dower h> the defendant Clara F. Jeter after the
determination of the life estate of said Clara F.
Jeter, said tract of land situated in Santuc
Township, Union County, State aforesaid, containing
one hundred nnd Forty-nine and two
thirds acres, more or less bounded by lands of
John A. Kant, Mrs C. 12. Situs, the Homestead
of Mrs. Clara F. Jeter and the Green l'ond
Road.
Terms of Sale :
One half the purchase money to he paid on
the 1st day of January A. D. 1881, the on lance
on the 1st day of January A. D. 1885, with interest
on both installments from day of sale.?
Purchaser to give bond and mortgage of the
premises to secure payment of puioliuso money,
and also personal security for the payment of
first instalment. The purchaser shall belet into
possession upon compliance with the terms of
salejxnd production of Masters deed, and shall
have the rents, issues and profits from crops on
the land for the current year, after payment of
any expenses that may have been incurred by
the defendants in tho preparation, planting or
cultivating said land.

W 11 FRF AS a Petition lias been filed with
the County Commissioners of Union
County, signed by a majority cf the freeholders
ot Goudcysville Township, of Uniort County, in
accordance with the provisions of an Act of the
General Assembly of South Carolina, approved
2:>d day of December, A. D. f882, entitled "an
Act to renew and amend an Act entitled an Act
to incorporate the Union, GafTney City and Ruth-*
crford Railroad Company, approved March ISth
1878, asking that Cue question of subscription
or no subscription of the sum of twenty-five
thousand dollars to the capital stock of said
Company, payable in Douds of said Township, as
provided by said Act, be submitted to the qualified
electors of said Township. And further
that "the funds realized on said bouds to be ex
pentled exclusively in the construction of said
Railroad within the limits of said Township, on
the most practicable route, crossing Pacolct River
at any point not exceeding one and one-half miles
above "Skull Shoals Ford" and Thickcty Creek
in the vicinity of "Owens Ford."
And whereas the said Cuuuty Commissioners
liavo by a resolution of their ltoard, fixed
the amount proposed to be subscribed, accord
ing to t ic request of said Petition, at twentyfive
thousand dollars, in seven per cent. Coupon
llonds of said To wnship; said bonds to be made
.payable in equal installments of sixteen, twenty
twcnty-fcurand twenty-eight years after the
date thereof, as provided by said act.

for said purpose, on Saturday, the 2dd day of
June, next; and that the polls be opened at the
various election precincts within the said Town

entitled to vote ; that the ballots shall have written

ordered. Said managers shall make returns
and meet at the Court House of said County
and count the votes and declare the result of
said election, and certify the same to the Chair
man of the Hoard of County Commissioners of
said County, as provided by law, on w before
Tuesday, the litltli day of June, A. 1). 1883.
