Yallow Fovor ia Now Orleans. The news from this stricken city is fruly dis-' trcssing. The last reports state the total number of cases tip to 5th inst., to be 299?deaths 79. 'The greatest excitement prevails among nil impossible for any one to leave tiio city, as all points of egress are so closely quarantined that boats cannot slop, while the cities along the lines of Railroads lcadiug to and from New Orleans have refused to allow the railroad trains coming from that city to pass much less stop at those points. To make the lustier worse, the disease has made its nppcarf nnce a mouth earlier than ever before, and in a new and more malignant form. The symptoms arc different from those of any previous visitation, which somewhat puzzles the physicinu?.? One writer, who left the city by the last train allowed to go out, suys that fifty per cent, of all patients have died. ? . ? The lirM limb measures eleven feet nine inches in circumference. The tree is hollow and has two doors. On the inside twelve men can stand erect, and at the height of twelve feet there is 11 bend on which four men can stand erect.
