The prospect for at abundant fruit crop this year is very promising and our people shoukVttse every effort to save it. A can. ning factory Is not amimpracticable nor- an linpossible thig. The cost of one is com paritively small while the benefits are un told. By the time the bulk of thc fruit crop gets ripe the dispens:iry law will le in opecation and our people who hieritofore made brardy, wine, etc., out of their fruit cannot do so then without pertimssion from th state and whe it Is nmde cannot sell it unless to-the State which the authorites ire not bound 14) do. In view of this fact our people should lake steps to preserve and save the fruit crop which is, now so promising. A few hiindre.1 dollar. inves ted in an enterprise of this kind would yield a good'dividend to tho invemtors and be a blessing to the people which could not be measured. With very little cost or trouble a farmer could have fruit. enough elitmed to do him for several years. If the fruit crop is as abindanit as it protises to be a very large part -)f it will he allowed to rot, fed to hogs and wated, for the peo ple cannot save it by drying and the old way of presevingllp and cnig Wve sholl take care of thi f7ruit crop bi'Ill'e it m111Ny Ib( s('v'ral 3am be-fore we are blessed -with antlier.
