For 1laninuity. MR. EnTrOm Sir; I am the one that got up the petition for United States pri. oners in Pickens jail. I vicited the pri3on ers several tines, and at one time while - Keith was sick, (the man that died) then again, just as Edfens wYaus taken sick, anld when I went the next. time Eden had been taken home. I warned the ienit that there was a liabhiity of thei all taking the fever. I leArned afterwards Dr. Earle said it was not fever that caused Keitl's death. I saw nothing special as I thaught to cause fever, only so many together, which caised a sickening scent to oitsider coming in, which the prishAners could not tell, being Ised to it. It was entirely for humanity's sake I got upl) the petition. 31r.
