The petition. for chan ges. in Ie ,road from Pickens ,Court House to Oolonoy church was heard and. the petition granted. Mlesars. W. A. Lesley, Matthew Hendricks and J. W. Stitherland were appointed special corn missioners to mark out, the necessary obtigos. Petition for changes in the road from Piokens C. H., via Mountain Grove Church to Nine Times was taken into consideration. It was postponed until next meeting when evidench will be tak en for ahai against the chauges proposed. Mr. Day reported that ho had let the bridge over Twelve mile River on the 22d of July to J. S. Barker for $200, and the one over George's Crock to R. E. Hol combe on the 23d of July for $148.00, each bridge to be completed by the let of next October. A petition asking that Cind Mullinix be sent to the poor house was granted. The clerk of the board was instructed to notify E. T. Komps and C. A. Carson that they would be dealt with according to law unless they erect lish ways in their rspeoctive dams across the Saluda River. Mr. Talley was instructed to open ia road from the Big Poplar near Pump kintown, across the bottoms to Oolenoy Church, provided the parties concerned would give the right of way; if they re fu:o, thou the road will be laid out by way of IIester's Bridge. Two petitions for new roads were filed; one asking for a road from Farr's Mill by Rev. Thos. Looper's, Col. R. E. Bowen and others, in the direction of Easley; the other leadiug from Shady Grove Chmrch to Hiram Alexandsr's plantattionl.
