POR TIIE PICKENs SENTINEL. Bunday School Celebration and Pic,nic at Enon-Splendid Dinner. DEAR SENTiNEL.-By special re quest, I must tell you about that Suns. day School celebration and pic-nic at Enon. On Saturday last, the 1'7th inst, at an early hour the people began Ato "pour in" from every direction. A t 10:30 a. in., the Sunday School formecd in marching column, at the head of which coated in the air the beautiful banner, borne in tho hands of Master 3. Frank Bradley. On the han nor, in plain Roman letters, was written "Enon Sunday School Working For Jesus." There were about 100 in the column, and as they marched they sung "Working for Jesus." When the people assembled in the house, the Superintendent, W. li. Ray, who in,~ troduced the speakers, lead the school in singing one of their sweet songs. When prayer was offered by Rev. G. p S. ingleton; then we had singing again; then Rev. G. W. Singleton spoke; then again we had singing, tho peo pie standing to rest themselves. Then followed the most impressive speaker, O . A. Pickle, of Greenville. who seems to know how to make Snnday School ( *addresses as well as to make clothing. Then glinner was in order-W ell, I can't tell all about it, for the oldest citizens sany they never saw the like. But one thing I do know, theroe was perfeot order, and when .[ say perfect I mean the best. There was more 9,taken away than was oat, so plenty ful! was the supply. After dinncr, we again assembled In the house, whentev. D. W. Hiott delivered an addresp, whenv the exer cises of the day were glosed. I can not close without a word about the muaic, whioh was altogether vocal and of the finest. No school that I ha.ve heard in Pickens County, can excel this school in singing.. They use the "melodies 9( praise." They do not propose to go Into winter quarters, but propose to be an "ever green." So mote it be. Amen. He murmered, "I am a man of quiet tastes," then went behind the door, took a flask from his pocket, and tacted something. DELINQUENT LAND SALE. In 1876, when his secret became knowri, ten of the manu facturing jewelers established a stock com pany, with a capital of $10,000,000 for the pu;rposo of manuftclniing Romaine Gold Jewelry and Watches.
