We have your letter of the 5th instant asking our opin
ion of tho DoIiOach Quick Ice Machino.
Wo wish to say that we own and have opcrntcd one of
their plants, and wo feel no hesitancy in recommending
it aa being practical, economical and satisfactory. Wo
find that a large number of people of this community
prefer the leo produced by this plant to tho Ice pro
duced by the old style plants, and wo have never h ear? I
a complaint about our ice.

Gentlemen: -
In regard to tho small Ice Plant that you Hold UH and
orected four weeks ago, WO wiall to state that wo aro
still making icu in eight to nine hourn, and flint every
thing is working nicely. With this hot npell on for Octo
ber we have had a chance tu test out our machino.
While you only Hold lt to us for a four-ton plant, ww
must admit that wo aro pulling five to live und a half
tons Ice dally. Same is frozen good and bard.
Hoverai farmers In this community have arranged
with UH to furnish thom with leo this fall and winter to
cure their meat. And It would neem that tho time la not
far distant, whon each community will havo cheap cold
storage, enabling farmers te have fresh moat ut all
times, regardless of weather conditions. Wo havo on
two occasions run the temperature down to zero and
closed down for tito night. Next morning, starting up
again, tho temperature would bo around eight to ten
degrees. We thon commence pulling our loe and refill
ing the cans. Some aro frozen and ready to pull In
eight to nine hours. Wo ennnot say oxactly what our
cost is per ton, but am satisfied that lt will not exceed
$2.00 per ton. We are satisfied that your method of
freezing, cutting the time about thirty to forty hours,
puts you in a class where there are no competitors.
With aU good wishes for the succ?s? of tho enter
prise, wo aro,
Yours very truly,
L. H. TUTEN GIN COMPANY,
