Mr. Breazeale is a Confedearte veteran and attended the reunion in Atlanta last week, quitting the reunion two days be fore adjournment on account of a slight indisposition and a great de sire to spend a few days among rela tives and friends in Walhalla. Harrison & Morton, Walhalla, S. C.-adv. 42-tf. -Information was received in Wallu.Ma last Saturday by Mr. and Mrs. G. A. Norman, by telegram, to the effect that their daughter, Mrs. F. L. Bunker, of Charlotte, had been severely burned. Mrs. Norman left nt once for Charlotte and is still with Mrs. Bunker, who, wc are glad to learn, ls not as seriously in jured as at first thought. Mrs. Hunker was engaged in cooking, using a quantity of hot grease, Into which, it is supposed, she put some article of food that caused a flare-tip of blaze almost equivalent to an ex plosion. Her face and eyes were badly burned, and first examination indicated that her sight in one eye would be permanently injured if not destroyed. Later developments, however, Indicate that her sight will not be permanently impaired, and the facial burns are not as deep ns nt first thought. Friends hero will Join with us in tho hope that Mrs. Hunker will soon be restored to her usual good health. Piedmont Auto Co., Walhalla.-adv. -The residence and smokehouse of Hov. J. L. Hudson, of the Cheo heo section, was destroyed by fire last Wednesday, the 8th. The fire was discovered about 1 o'clock in the morning in the kitchen, and bad gained such headway that very little of the household goods were saved, and practically all of the wearing apparel of the entire family was destroyed. The loss is consider able and falls heavily on Rev. Mr. Hudson, who has a large family. He carried no insurance. Rev.
