The play given last Wednesday night at Pitchford's Hal was one of the (inest ever witnessed here, not excepting any given bj traveling troupes The ladies in charge of it are due the highest praise for the manner in which i! was presented. The young ladies and gentlemen who composed the cast could not have performed better. Fach part seemed to he made for the player and the player for the part. The rendition throughout was perfect. We are requested to extend to the people of Walhalla, on behalf of those who suffered loss in the lire last Wednesday morning, sincere and grateful thanks to all who so will ingly and untiringly gave* their ser vices in efforts to save the property.
