Phono your orders. -Samuel Orr, of the Little Uiver .section of Oconee, was killed by'Silas Burrell In the Whitewater section Tuesday ''^ght of last week, Decem ber 5th. But little of the particu lars of the case have come to light so far, but it is stated that Orr was drinking heavily when ho went to the home of Durrell, and was ordered away from tho premises, but refused to go. Trouble ensued, and the statement is mado that Orr threat ened Burrell when the latter Insisted that Orr must leave. The culmina tion of the affair was that Orr was struck on tho hoad by Burrell, who used tho barrel of a shotgun ns his weapon. Orr's skull -was crushed and he died Wednesday morning in Burrell's home where he had boen taken care of. Burrell reached Wal halla Wednesday afternoon and sur rendered to Sheriff Kay. He Is now in tho Oconee jail. The Jury of in quest rendered a verdict to the ef fect that the deceased came to his death from a wound on the head In flicted at tho hands of Silas Burrell. Burrell Is about thirty years old and has a family. Orr was about 27 years of age; was married, but had not been living with his wife for some time. NOTICE TO PUBLIC.
