Ga., bas accepted the call of Beaver dain church and entered upon his duties the 3d Saturday and Sunday. His theme tit the morning service was "The church, tho complement of Christ.'' Mr. Crawford held his large audience with rapt attention throughout the entire service, being a most Huent and eloquent expounder of the Word. I inmediately after t he service a collection was taken for State missions, after which the con gregation sang "Blest be the tie that binds,'' when Ihe hand of welcome was extended to the pastor. The members of this church are to be congratulated on securing the ser vices of such an able minister of tlie Cospel. Li. Jackson and seems to have been due to the pr?sence of a "swell" negro woman from Atlanta. She was dancing with Jerry Pressly, when the couple was fired on from the outside and mortally wounded. The light was extinguished In some way and a general fuslllnde of shots followed, more than a hundred. When the smoke had cleared the three nam ed were found fatally wounded, dying to-day. the latter two In Abbeville county. The house where the trouble oc curred is riddled with bullets and shot.
