He is quite well known personally in Walhalla, and profes sionally he is known by reputation all over South Carolina. His friends were pleased to meet him. -E. M. Beaty, and family here and among other rela tives in the county. Mr. Beaty has been engaged In truck growing in Florida for six years and is delighted with his adopted home. His many friends are pleased to meet him again. -Mrs. G. B. McAuliffe, of New York City, arrived in Walhalla last week and is visiting her mother, Mrs. L. T. Simmons, and among other relatives. Mrs. McAuliffe has been in ill health for some time, and her old friends here are pleased to know that her condition ls somewhat im proved. He was an Oco nee man, being a son of Mrs. M. E, Hunnlcutt, of High Falls.
