Mr. and Mrs. Fred White, In Millville, after a short illness from appendicitis. lt was reported to us that her physicians performed an operation for this dis ease Tuesday, but this was incorrect. Tho little giri was about ten years of .age, and her death was a severe blow to her parents and family. The body was interred at Fairview Thurs day afternoon in tho presence of a larne concourse of sorrowing friends. The sympathy of many is extended to the bereaved ones. Arrangements luve been per fected for the union picnic of the Walhalla Sunday schools to be held In the grove at Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Isbell's on Thursday, the 17th of .lune. lt was provided, however, that should lt be raining or too dis agreeable on Thursday, and the day following ls clear, Friday will be chosen as a substitute day. Should that also be unfavorable the picnic will be held Thursday, June 24th. It Is hoped that all the Sunday schools of Walhalla will be fully represented. Mrs. Margaret Hill, widow of the late Ross Hill, died at lier home on Keowee Inst Friday. She was 66 '.??ais of nge, and had been iii de clining health for some lime. She was a consistent member of the Me thodist church, and her lifo was full of gooil deeds io those about her. About two vears ago she suffered internal injuries which, though not Of a critical nature, left her a con stan! sufferer until her death. While holding two mules by the bridle Hie;. Iiname frightened, and pulling back in opposite directions, they so badly wrenched Mis. Hill's chest that she never fully recovered. Mrs. Hill leaves a brother, Tho?. Powers, and two sisters, Frankie and Rachel, to mourn her death. J. H. Hill, Wal halla: J. Elford Hill, Bickens coun ty, and Mrs. Margaret Clark, of High Palls, are step-children of the de ceased. The body of Mrs. Hill was laid to rest Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock in the family burying ground near the home place.
