The many friends, here .and throughout the county, of the family of the late O. I. Walker, will regret to learn of the death last Monday of Mrs. Walker, which occurred at'her home In the Walhalla Highlands. Mrs. Walker had not been in robust health for some time, but few know that she was critically ill until short ly before her death. Mahy . anxious Inquiries were made during Sun day and Monday, and about noon Monday she breathed her last. Mrs. Walker waB boin January 24, 1844, and in 1865 was happily ?tar ried to O. I. Walker, who died at their home at Madison on June 9, 1906. To Mr. and Mrs., Walker were born six children, two sons and four daughters-C. P. Waiker of Walhal la, and Dr. C. M. Walker of West minster; Mrs, A. Y. Davis of Toccoa, Qa., Mrs. H. E. Rosser, of Westmin ster, Mrs. R. C. Carter and Miss Ruth Walker of Walhalla-all of whom survive to mourn the death of their mother. Mrs. Walker was an excellent wo man, a. thorough, consecrated Chris tian, and will be sadly missed in family, church and community. She was a devout member of the Presby terian church, and was greatly in terested In the work of the church in its various branches, though of late years her active work was inter rupted through failing health. Her remains were taken to Tuga loo Monday, where, In the presence Of a large concourse of sorrowing friends, they were gently lowered to the grave beside her husband. To the sorrowing relatives ls ex tended the sympat^.v of hosts of friends In their ber ....vement. ?-- . Card of T'.anks.
