My purposo in this writing is to Bay that the cause of Stato Missions is moro strongly endorsed by tho Heaverdam Association now than at. any former poriod in its oxistotico. The cause is not losing interest and its iniluonCO not waning with US. Neither is tho board being criticised. Another fact I wish to state is that this continuous growth in interest has been brought about by tho personal offorts of our secretary moro than any other singlo causo. Tho last meeting of our association was moro enthusiastic in tho support of Stato Missions than Any former mooting. Tho State board makes no effort to "control" the manner of our work. Our secretary uniformly, publicly and privately, makes thc statement that tho churches know best how our work can bo done, and requests that wo plan our work and submit it to tho board. We have done this for many year*. Our plans have always been approved by the board or some satisfactory reason given why it was not done.
