Orr, died at the homo of her son, Dr. S. M. Orr, in Andoreon, on Wednes day morning, 21st instant, after a linger ing illness. Sho was a daughter of Dr. Samuel Marshall, of Abbeville, whoro sho was born Novombor 20th, 1820. On Novombcr Kith, 1843, sho was married to Govornor Orr, who was thon a young lawyer practicing at Andorson. Sho was indeed a holpmoot to her distinguished husband, and, by her gent?o disposition, social intorcourne nmi jlhora? hospital ity, she added much to his popularity. On duly 4th, 1800, sho was partially stricken witli paralysis. In January, 1877, sho received a fall from bor car riego, and for over twonty-one years she nover walked a step, and was a constant occupant of tho invalid's chair, During all those years sho exemplified the high est order of Christian fortitude and resignation. She possosscd a brilliant mind, and it was over a benediction to bo in bor presence. A few days before her death she said: "While I havo had many afllictions, I havo Leon blessed abovo all mothers in my children." Tbo announcement of her death is received with profound sorrow throughout tbo State.
