Death of Mr. Robins. Mr. Waddy Thompson Robins died a the National Surgical Institute, Atlanta Ga., on Thursday, 2d February, 1893, a 11.30 A. M.. after a paintut illness pro tracted through several months. n? wa in his fifty-third year. He was the fourtl sou of the late Capt. Abel tobins. Bon and reared at his father's home, or Whetstone, he spent his life on-**- ~~,V*' Daring the war he ma.1- * valient soldier and engaged in ??"ne hard fought battles. In 1874 ho went to Montana where he continued to reside until about? year ago, when he returned to walhalla on a visit to his sick father. Soon after his return he was taken sick and gradually grew - He was suffering with an affec tion of the kidneys, which developed into tuberculosis. He went to Atlanta last November where he put himself under the care of thc physicians in the National Surgical Institute. All the remedies known to medical science were applied in his treatment, but to no avail. He gradually grew weaker, and finally the current of Ble went out as gently as the ebbing of the tide. A true and hon orable man has fallen in his death. By the labor of his own hands he had gath ered a comfortable fortune ir. his Western home and thc future was full of promise for him. He was never married, and leaves three sisters and three brothers to mourn his death. His body WP s brought to Walhalla Thursday night by his brother. Mr. D. P. Robins, and carried to Double Springs on Friday fe>r interment. He was laid to rest beside his father, mother and sister in the cemetery, near thc church, after funeral services con ducted by Kev. H.
