We would further suggest that tho unexpended ballanccs bo applied to the expenses incurred by laying off tho county into Sohool Districts. Thoro is about three hundred ($800) dollars of tho old school fund and two hundred ($200) dollars of tho current year's funds, set asido by tho Board of Examiners of Oconoo, for tho purposo of running a Teacher's Normal School during tho summer ; aleo, there may bo other small bal ances after nil tho public schools are closed. Tho Board of Examiners did not think tho'teachers manifested enough interest in the Teachers' As sociation of Oconoo to justify tho outlay of the above named two hun dred ($200) dollars. Hence, tho bal ance. Our next point in our visits is "Many Forks" school, in Seneca Township, taught by Mr. M. li. Den dy, ex-School Commissioner. The teacher beliovos in inculcating the rules of tho fundamental principle of common school education and applying those rules to practical business habits of life ; in other words, to make the school lifo of chit dren the beginning of lifo'n careor, to disoijilino the mind and heart for any conflict that may present itself for consideration. Tim next point in our vinita is tho "Speed's Creek" School, taught by Miss M. A. Tollerson, tho teacher who wrote tho communication, "Kind ness," for this column.
