Redmond inserted the following notice io O New York newspaper: Wanted-A hu?band; would like to marry a gentleman of comfortablo ci rc a in stances residing io tho South. S. E. H., Herald up town oQioc. Shortly after the appenranoo of this notice Miss Redmond received a lotter post marked at Hawkiosville, Ga. Tho writer said that ho had road tho notice, and de sired to open up a correspondence with tho author of tho advertisement. Tho lady auswered tho lotter immediately, and OD animated correspondence was begun. Tho lady wrote numerous letters. She said that she was a brunette, that she was an accomplished pianist and vocalist; in short, she thought that sho could bo n good wife, and would try and mako her corres pondent happy, if they should become united in marriage. The Southern man answered all of tho letters, and wrote that ho was a farmer of middle ago, and in com. fortablo circumstances. Ho said that ho had quito a large farm about fourteen miles from Hawkiosville, and thest ho had n plenty of everything to support a family. Somo of tho letters wore very teuder. A few weeks ago Miss Redmond wroto to her correspondent at Hnwkinsville to tho effect that sho thought the timo had como for notion, and that if ho would marry her sho would go to him at once nnd have tho ceremony performed. To this hint she reeoivod an answer, telling hor to come at onco, and that ho would be ready to receive her with open arms and moko her his wife. Miss Redmond at onco read to her mother and brother tho letter that had made hor feel so happy. A trip South was hast ily planned. Tho other two members of tho family said that they would go with her and see the affuii done up in the best of stylo. No new olothca wcro necdod. All that hud to bo dono was to bundle up such clothing os was at hand. Soon tho trio was on their way to Georgia, On arriving in Atlanta they boarded a train for Ilnwkinsvillc.
