Ho died with the heavenly promise bright before him. Col. Gkisiiam was bom in Anderson district, in 1789, but was, for a long number of years, a useful and prominent citizen of Pickens. IIi? industry and energy, combined with punctuality and strictly temnor alo habits, amassed for him a large property, notwithstanding heavy losses by fire and flood. I lis integrity was above reproach, and his patriotism undoubted. Ho was a friend to tho deserving. and his O' charities, public and private, accord .harmoniously with his ability to give.
