stand erected for that purpose In a

the present residence of, Mr. A. M.

came from all parts of Newberry-and
adjoicing Districts to hear them,-and
very soon the most remarkable aud
genuine religious awakening ever
koown in Newberry occurred. As
one of the results of this meeting, and
chiefly of persons baptized duriuig its
progress, the Newberry Baptist Church
was organized on the 30th of tp(-em
