One individual in town it is said got up out of bed and went into the street where he remained till day light. It was our great pleasure to attend the last days' meeting and wvitness the in terest taken in it by the large congre gation who were in attendance, and which we were told was even smaller in number than it had been on any pre vious day since the meeting began. I The Rev. Manning Brown preached a very effective sermon in thle mor n ing, and the Rev. Mark Boyd followed] in the afternoon, on both of which oe casions there wvere mourners at the al-I tar. The example of tihe people of that neighborhood is worthy of mention as well as of imitation, the religious ele ment largely preponderating. They are a generous, happy, kind p)eople, and the brief visit p)aid them on that oc asion was full of unmixed satisfaction. The Rev. J. L. Shuford, pastor in charge, informs us that there were t twenty-two accessions to the church, and as many conversions, He comn menced another protracted meeting at Tranquil Church on Saturday, and it is, hoped like results will follow. One other mention in connection withI the Trinity people. and that is, that they have one of tile largest lodges of Good Templars in the County, it numbering between eighty and ninety.
