DECIDEDLY 2NICE.-Last Monday morning a friend knowing our esthiet ic nature, caught usby the arm and lead us away, quietly remarking that he had something nice to show us. We yelded confidently and followed. He lead us through the neat and well filled store of Messrs. McFall and Pool, and ushered us into the large rear room, where a scene beautiful and refreshing regaled our eyes, a floor handsomely carpeted, walls white, fresh and clean, furiture neat, and show cases resplen de4t with bonnets, ribbons, and flowers vllng the"seven colored rainbow in beauty. To make ourselves exactly un derstood, Mes.srs. McFall and Pool have established a first class millinery de partment in the rear of their dry goods store, which the ladies of Newberry may take pride in. It is uder thie able management and supervision of Mrs. S. Redus, who is assisted by a skilled and accomplished young lady from Colum bia. We take pleasure in recommend ing this establishment to the liberal patronage of the public. We've got au considerable notion of marrying just tc et to buy one of those pretty bonnets. We-are informed that there is a man in our town wvho takes his hogs to water every evening.'- Good for the hog. Since the Senior's exit for Artesian water, nothing whatever has been heard of the spotted cowv or the bleating calf. The show having gone, our delin quent subscribers .will pr obably take pity on us and settle up. If there was a circus in town we wouldn't expect it, but there isni't. Cash or no go will be our rule here after, if the Court knows herself, and we think she do. When everybody calls you a long eared individual it's high time to give a brav to remove all doubts.
