A. few months later the waitress of a curate in a neighboring village was nearly killed, but finally reervered without being able to give an account of the mau who attacked her. A few days after an old taildr~ was killed with a hammer, also early in the evening, and in November a man of property, named Duvrl, was murdered on his own threshold about five o'clock iu the afternoon. About Christmas .titn two inaiden ladies were aso murdered 'in their own house.
