Mr. McKinley's speech, a copy of
which is before us, is replete with
patriotic sentiments and sound advice
to the landholders of Georgia. His
theories, too, are based upon facts as
they exist in the old country and if
they can. be made applicable to the
idle and demoralized negro, would
prove of incalculable benefit to the
country. The posiiion taken in brief
are these: Planters shauld hold on

and never disimtniber or make a per
