Omaha, by the Journal : sidea "The people of this city and state will rmerlearn with deep regret that Mr. Kuhns is ceea about to transfer the scene of his labors to -- South Carolina. His long residence here, his unblemished life, his abilities as a pastor, and his uniform success, rendered him for many years the most prominent among the ministers of Omaha. By hundreds he is re garded not only with Interest, but with love. lie cemented their affections by the sacred NO. f rit oT m a. a=1 whn the argel af death has brooded over the houseiold, he has been present to speak comfort to the mourner, and perform the last sad duties for the dead. Few men can boast of a pastorship in r thp west extending wi:hout interruption through fifteen years. It betokens his pos- a session not only of all the qualifications de- a nianded by +hbt. high office, but of those a atural qualities of disnosit ion and cbarac ter which endear others to us. Mr. Kuhns goes with our best wishes for his future t prosperity, and we know that in the views t we have expressed we have only given faint expression to the sentiment which pervades this entire community." r APPoIN'TMENT.-The Governor has ap pointed Mr. Warren D.
