Dr. Lilicnthai, of Cincinnati, presented the following preamble and resolutions, which were unanimously adopted: 1. Because with unshaken faith and firmness in one invisible and eternal God, we also believe in the common Father hood of God, and the common brother hood of men. 2. We glory in the sublime doctrine of our religion, which teaches that the right eous of all nations, without distinction of creed, will enjoy eternal life and ever lasting happiness. 3. The Divine command, the most sub lime passage of the Bible. "Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself," extends to the entire human family, without dis tinction of either race or creed. 4. Civil and religious liberty, and hence the s paration of church and State, are the inalienable rights of men, and we con sider them to be the brightest gem in the Constitution of the United States. 5. We love and revere this country as our home and fatherland for us and our children, and therefore consider it our paramont duty to sustain and support the government, and to favor by all means the system of free education, leaving re ligiotis instruction to the care of the different denominations. 6. We expect the universal elevation and fraternization of the human family to be achieved by the natural means of science, morality, freedom, justice and truth. AFFRAY AT SAR.ATOOA.-T'he New York. "Tribune" says : During an excited dis cussion between several gentleman at a Saratoga wine room on Wednesday, over the various points of the day's races, a sudden and well-nigh sanguinary affair occured. It seems that Gen. Buford of Kentucky, with a part of friends, in cluding Mr. Pallard of Missouri, and Col. Fallon of Baltimore, were enjoying a taste of champagne. During their pleas ant conversation, Mr. W. R. Baiwell en teredl with a party of frivnde, and cn gaged in the discussion, during which he gave Gen Buford the lie. The General at once pitched in and a struggle be tween the two immediately ensued, du ring which Buford, who is a giant, over powered his antagonist until f, iends sep arated them. While this was progress ing tables andl chairs overturned and bottles shivered to atoms, the bystanders took sides on the question, revolvers were drawn, and a general scrimmage was only prevented by the strenuous ex ertions of prominent sporting men.
