The first MiUtr School - established' i France, by Lewis"XV., in 1731. wa's located in a spacious, Mon.umental Building, erected at the extremity of the Champ do Mars. (1) Abolished In 1703, the Mill:ary School was soon succeeded by that of the "Sons of March." encamped in the field of Stblons, which, however, listed but a short time, Iu 1802, Napoleon' 'tie 1st, ro-established the Military School; this ho established in the -left wing of the White llorse Yaird, in the Palace of Fontainebleau.
