WATER I Joseph Stowe, from Concord, North Caro. line, intendi to be-4n Newberry with his oelebrated Well boring implement in about eight-or teo days. - I can bore a better well with unaugur than any other in the South, ern States., My wells are twelve inches in diameter, and all other wells that I know of are only eight inches in diameter. The bored wels need no recommendation, they are an established fact, having been in use In this part of North Carolina, and in some parts of South Carolina, for twelve or fifteen years, and are still gaining favor wherever they are introduced. I will give a few of the advantages they have over the common dug well. Tiat and most important, they will sup ply a more pure and better water than the common well, as they cut oftall the surface water; the water of a bored well has to en ter at the bottom of the well and if there is pure water you will get it, as no surface water can enter the welL The next advan tage they have is in being less expensive than the common well, in some localities they are four or five times cheaper than the common well; they are also superior to the common well as they require no cleaning out, as no Frog, Toad, Snake, or any other reptile can get into them; you can keep them as tight as a barrel, and keep out all -the trash and filth which - is liable to be blown in by the winds and other causes, in the fall aild winter season. There are seve raf other advantages they possess over the common well, but I will only mention one other, they are almost equal to the best spring as the water that is drawn out is al ways fresh from the bottom of the well. As I cannot remain long in Newberry, any - person requiring a well will much oblige by leaving their names at the New berry Herald office, and they will have them bored in the order they have their Names.
