Closing Exercises of the Little Mountain High School. Special to The Lexington Dispatch: The annual closing exercises of the little Mountain high school began Friday night, May 22, and were con eluded on Tuesday nigjht with the class exercises by the tenth grade. The pcpils showed careful training and marked improvement in technique and interpretation. Snnday morning an able sermon was delivered by the Rev. J." W. Horine, editor of the Lutheran Church Visitor. Special music by the Girls' Chorus Club, assisted by other voices, added to the morning's service. Monday night a miniature wedding by the primary grades gave the 1 irge audience of interested friends and XN^J relatives much pJeasore. Then the X- musical fairy play, "Midsummer Eve/' was presented by the grammar grades. ; For an hour the fairies, little elves and Will-'o-the-Wisps enchanted the audience as they held court in the beautiful forest of Fairyland. H. Anil essay medal was w>n by Minnie Lee Shealy with hon.-i^le mention to Louise Shealy. The Nswberry college scholarship was awarded to Carl Dreher. The school has just closed a most prosperous year under the direction of ,the following teachers: Mr. G. H. Ballentine; Misses Ernestine Wicker, TTihipr TCIhprfa. Spsso Vannio Ita&aand Mrs. J. C. She took the body of the chihl to its home next door, where she found the mother in a critical condition,, and, in an adjoining room, the dead body of another child. The woman's condition is serious and it is not believed that she will recover. One of the children was four years of age and the other about eight Etmtfcs. Three Sleuths Fined. * Atlanta, Gi.r May 27.?Three detectives, operating as representatives of W. J. Bams in an investigation of the case of Leo Frank, were fined $100 each in the city court here late today and bound over to the state courts for farther action The operatives, W. W. Rogers, C. 0. Tedder and J. 0. Whitfield, were found guilty of working on the case of the factory superintendent who is under sentence of death for the murder of Mary Phagan, the factory girl, without being approved by the local police board.
