Wessinger, the popular and efficient assistant cashier of the Bank of Chapin, visited relatives in Lexington last week. He is a 9on of the prince of merchants, Mr. Job S. Wes9inger. Mr. J. Sim Corley, from down in ;hs Switzerneek section, and a mighty *ood man, was in town Monday on business. He says crops in his section are fairly good and everybody is aard at work mastering general green. Our town was thronged with farmers Saturday, from all sections, atteodng to matters of business, buying leeded articles and farm supplies. \11 of them seemed cheerful after a Dard week's work, eradicating general green. Squire U. W. Jefcoat, one of the )3st men from around Swansea, was n town Monday and gave us a pleasmt call. He was here to make his eport as Magistrate to the County Board of Commissioners.
