Joseph T. Koeonecke, Sr., residing

iy the crew of an incoming freight
rain, lying on a track, unconscious,
pith both legs crushed below the

No one could be found that night

koennecke, in avoiding one locomcive,
stepped in the path of another.
Mr. Koennecke, aged about 45, was

Southern railway. He had been in
he service of the Seaboard Air Line,
n the capacity of yard conductor and
light yardmaster, for six or seven
