CO., props., St Louis, Mo. _ 2 Popular Lexington Girl a Graduate. Miss Ruth Efird, youngest daughter of Hon. and Mrs. C. M. Efird, and one of the most beautiful and popular young girls in Lexington, gave ner graduating recital at the College for Women in Columbia on Friday evening. The State of Saturday gave the following interesting account of her graduation: "Miss Ruth Efird gave a graduate expression recital last evening at the College for Women. The recital attracted i large audiente. The young woman is a talented reader, and proved, her versatility by a long programme of selections of a very varied nature. The charm of naturalness is hers; a grace of movement and of gesture and a distinctness of ennnelation, which enables her hearers to gain the fall benefit of whatever she is giving them. She rose to points of dramatic intensity in her heavy numbers, arranged to begin and to end th? evening; she was delightful in the hmmoroos seleotiOB, keeping her audisnee in a ripple of mirth with her clever character sketching, and in the light numbers of which shegmve a group of four, she was most charming. The most artistic and effective of these was Ten* nyeon,8 "The Bogle.'* -The aadisnse was most appreciative, applauding each nnmber with an enthusiasm, which expressed genuine enjoyment, and a profusion of most beautiful flowers were showered upon the yonug graduate. "Miss Efird was assisted by her sister, Miss Caro Efird, who possesses a very pretty, clear soprano voice. She contributed to the artistic success of the programme by two groups of songs, which were well received by the audience.'* Mrs. R. Brant, 11115 Paden St., ParkerBburg, W. Va., had an attack of lagrippe which left her bad kidney trouble, and she suffered.much severe pain aztd bachache. Then she heard of Foley KidDey Pills and says: "After taking them a short time the pain left my back and 1 am again able to do my own house work. Foley Kidney Pills helped me wonderfully.'* Kaufmann Drug Co. Stimg Nearly to Death. B.
