Wingard, back home, even for auch a short, period of time. Both Mr. Lever and Mr. Wingard are looking well, although they have been very hard worked during the session of congress just adjourned. Mr. Lever Receives Pen From President. There came in Congressman Lever's mail on Sunday one of the six pens and pen-holders used by the President in signing the Appalachian-White Mountain forest measure when that bill became a law. It will be remembered that Mr. Lever is one of the joint authors in the House of this bill, and everybody recalls the characteristic energy which, for some years, he has expended in behalf of its passage. This successful flght to conserve the head-waters of the navigable streams rising in these mountains in the interest of navigation, agriculture, and forestry ha9 brought Mr. Lever warm commendations from all parts of New | England and the South and he prizes i highly this pen which he shall pie- I serve as a memento of the successful | conclusion of an interesting fight for j this legislation.
