The field agents are co-operating with the representatives of the United States Agricultural Department and with the State Agricultural authorities in advising the farmers as to the best cultural methods to pursue in order to increase the average yield of cotton per acre. They are also giving advice a9 to the best methods of dealing with the Mexican cotton boll weevil in localities to which there is a probability that it may spread. President Finley is giving personal attention to the sreneral suoervision of this work, which is to be made as effective and helpful as possible.
