D., 1210, and which proposed cut off with the amemdmenta made thereto embraces the following lues to wit; "Beginning at a point where the Saluda and Broad rivers u-ute to form the Congaree River; thence up the median line of the Saluda Rivers with its various courses and distances to a noint eight miles from Lexington court house; thonee a line describing the aro of a circle of eight miles radius with Lexington court house as the centre thirty-one thousand eight handred feet to its intersection with with the eastern boundary of the town of Irmo,marked by a stake x3N; thence N. along the eastern boundary of Irmo one thousand and forty feet to a stake x8N (said stake indicating the north-east corner of the said town of Irmo); thenee west2260 feet along the northern boundary of the town of Irmo to a stake x3N; thence a line describing the aro of a circle of eight mile radius with Lexington court house as the centre 11360 feet to a stake xSN 800 feet west of branch; thence N. 42.80 west 10370 feet to a stake x8N; thence N. 52.3QW 11100 feet to a stake x3N near the corporate limits of the town of "White Bock; thenoe S. 69.10 W. 4300 feet to a stake x3N; thence N. 7 degrees W. 2620 feec to a stake x3N on the centre line of the O. N. & L. R. R. near the western corporate limits of the town of White Rock; thence N. 52.40 W. 6750 feet to a stake x3N on the Gilbert Hollow Road; thence the said Gilbert Hollow Road 1056 feet to Wateree Creekjthence the oenter line of said Wateree Creek with its varoos courses and distances to Broad River; thence down the median line of said Broad River with its varino8 courses and^distanoe to the beginning pomr in uongaree iiiver". AND WHEREAS, the boundaries as above set off from Lexington County are sought to be annexed to Richland County and the other facts require to be stated by the constitution and laws are 6et out in the petition. AND WHEREAS, the report of the commissioners appointed by me to ascertain the facts as provided for by law as to whether the provisions of the constitution and laws of the State as to population, area, wealth, distance from the court house in Lexington County et cetera have been complied with, was filed in my office on the Kith day of October, 1910. which report states that the law has been complied with, leaving not less than five hundred square miles in Lexington County and not less than two million dollars of taxable property and that the population of the said County of Lexington will not be reduced to less than fif teen thousand inhabitants and that the proposed line does not run nearer than eight miles to the court house of Lexington County. NOW, THEREFORE, I. M. F. Ansel, as Governor of the State of South Caralina, by yirtue of the power conferred upon me by the constitution and laws of this State,do hereby order; First: That an election be held iu Dhe territory emdraced within the proposed lines aforesaid od 15th pay of December, A. D. 1910, upon the question of annexing said territory to jo the County oi Richlan-j and that at said election the qualified electors within the preposed area shall be alowed to vote upon 9aid question, :hose favoring the proposed annexation to vote "Yes*, and those opposing to vote "No". Second: That the commissioners of election for State and county officers of Lexington County shall make all necessary arrangements for holdng said election, shall appoint managers and do all other things necessary for the holding of said election; that the county ;supervisor of Lexington county shall have prepared printed tickets and furnish same to the commissioners of election to be sent out to the managers of election for the use of the voters.
